JazzMutant have been housing a secret, and now that secret is out. Mu for Lemur is coming...
Mu will be the first truly integrated Ableton Live touch controller.
Taking advantage of the doors opened by Max for Live, and with zero configuration necessary
(yes, entirely plug and play!) , you will finally be able to:
Touch Ableton Live!
If you want to be the first to put your hands on it, come to Digital Audio Service's booth at MusikMesse
(Frankfurt, Germany, Hall 5.1, booth 66, March 24-27th).

This month we change our "Underground Star" feature to "Ear to the Ground". Here we want to focus not only on artists involved in underground scenes, but also to highlight new talent and emphasise people who are active players in the JazzMutant community.
Brandon Epperson is an all-round multimedia artist with a synaesthete's approach to his art and his fingers in many pies. Since early childhood musical aspirations, Brandon has seen the live entertainment production process from many different angles - from touring musician and dancer, climbing show rigging, front of house engineer, live electronic musician to building and running video walls for major shows, Brandon has seen a lot.
He now runs his own company designing show control systems and custom video, lighting and sound interaction software and is a reliable "go-to" guy in the industry if you need a professional production - and quick! Luckily the Lemur is there to help with all this....

Get to grips with Antonia Blanca's super-powerful Lemur template for Reaktor's L3 loop-slicer. This thing is deep and fully-featured but we swear it's well worth spending the 15 minutes it will take to get your head around it. We suggest you just dive in and, after a short dose of fun confusion, consult Antonio's included visual pdf guide.
Basically, L3 will chop a loop into slices and you can resequence these slices and apply individual processes (pitch, pan, reverse...) and to each. These settings can be saved in patterns A-H and these patterns can themselves be sequenced using the pattern sequence at the top. In short - this gives you some hardcore loopmangling power!
See Section 1 of this Reaktor workshop to make sure that all of your OSC connections are ready to fly.
